Three Peaks House

Three Peaks House is in Horton. It's a stone terraced cottage, right in the village.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got that 5 Star rating, which just means it's all been done to a good standard and it's well equipped. The back gets the sun, there's a patio with seating. Out the front you can see Pen-y-Ghent. It's pebbled out there, with a couple of chairs. Good for a morning coffee.

You're on the Pennine Way here, literally. If you're doing the Three Peaks challenge, you start and finish on the doorstep. Ingleborough and Whernside are from here too. The Settle-Carlisle railway line runs through the valley. You can hear it sometimes, and you might see a steam train if you're lucky.

There are two pubs in the village, about five minutes walk. Both do food. The nearest shop and more places to eat are in Settle, about five miles down the road. Settle has a pool and a golf course. Good for a wet day.

For walks, you're sorted. You can just step out. For other things, the Yorkshire Dales National Park site has good information. The Settle-Carlisle Railway website is useful for timetables if you fancy the train.

Inside, there's a wood burner, which is nice in the evening. Everything you'd expect: dishwasher, washing machine, wifi. There's bike storage if you bring them. We include bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
