This is The View, in Horton in Ribblesdale. It's a mid-terrace cottage, two bedrooms, sleeps four.
As the name suggests, the main thing is the view out the front. The window looks straight across fields to Pen-y-Ghent. You can sit out in the small front garden with a coffee in the morning and just look at it.
Inside, it's got that 4 Star rating. It means it's been updated and is comfortable. The living room has an open fire, which is nice in the evenings. There's a Smart TV and some books and games if you need them. The kitchen's at the back and has a dishwasher and everything you'd need. There's a utility room with a washing machine and a separate freezer.
Upstairs, the main bedroom is a good size and has that same view. The second bedroom has twin beds. There's one bathroom.
The back garden is enclosed. There's a table and chairs out there. It gets the sun later in the day.
You can bring one dog. There's a useful porch at the front for boots and coats.
The location is really for walkers. Horton is a proper walking village. The Pennine Way and the Three Peaks routes go right through it. The Pen-y-Ghent Cafe in the village is the official start point for the Three Peaks walk. You've got two pubs within a few hundred yards. One is right on the Pennine Way and is very walker-friendly.
Settle is about a ten minute drive away. Skipton, with the castle, is about twenty-five minutes. Ingleton, with the waterfalls, is maybe fifteen minutes. The famous Settle to Carlisle railway goes through the village, so you can hear the trains sometimes.
