Cragdale Penthouse
Cragdale Penthouse is a flat at the top of the old police station on Duke Street in Settle. It's got two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it sleeps four. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's done up to a high standard.
You come in from the street, up some stairs to the main living floor. The kitchen and sitting area are open plan. Big bifold doors open onto a terrace. The view from there is straight out over the town rooftops towards Castleberg Crag. It gets the evening sun.
Both bedrooms are on the floor above, up another flight of stairs. The main one is a good size with an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds. The family bathroom has a bath and a separate shower.
It's right in the middle of town. The market square, shops, and a few pubs are a two-minute walk. The train station is close too, if you fancied a trip on the Settle to Carlisle line.
For walking, you can start from the door. The footpaths up to Castleberg or over to Stainforth Force are easy. For a proper day out, the Three Peaks are a short drive. Malham Cove and Tarn are about twenty minutes by car.
Skipton's about a twenty-minute drive south. It’s good for a mooch around the castle or the canal. The Lake District and the Forest of Bowland are both under an hour's drive if you want to go further.
It has the things you'd expect: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. There's bike storage in the building and a parking space round the back.
