Cove View Cottage

Cove View Cottage is in Malham. It's a one up, one down sort of place, just for two people. It's old, Grade II listed, and attached to the next cottage. You can see Malham Cove from the back bedroom window, which is why it's called that. The view is the main thing.

It's a 3 Star place. That means it's comfortable and has everything you need, but it's not a hotel. The walls are stone, there are beams, and there's a woodburner in the living room. It's cosy when that's going. The bathroom is en-suite off the bedroom. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, it's that sort of cottage.

You're right in the village. There's a stream running down the middle of the road. You've got two pubs and a couple of tea rooms within a few minutes' walk. The National Park Centre is here too, which is useful for maps and weather. The nearest shop is in Kirkby Malham, about two and a half miles away.

You can walk straight out of the door onto the footpaths. The Pennine Way goes right past. You can be at the top of Malham Cove in about 25 minutes if you're steady. Gordale Scar is a bit further on. It's all just there.

For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car right outside and an electric vehicle charger. You can bring one dog. There's a small patio garden at the back with the view.

If you want to drive out, Skipton is about 8 miles away for a bigger shop. The whole of the Dales is within easy reach. National Trust Yorkshire properties like Brimham Rocks or Fountains Abbey are within a 30 minute drive.
