Miller Cottage is in Hanlith, near Malham. It's a semi-detached cottage, part of an old mill conversion. It was built in 1792.
It sleeps five, has three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxury. There's one bathroom, just so you know upfront.
You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed, which is useful for that. The garden is yours, but there are also eight acres of shared grounds. The river runs through it. There's a mill pond and a weir. It's very quiet.
The location is the main thing. You can leave the car and walk straight out. Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are a good walk away. The local pub is about three quarters of a mile.
Settle and Skipton are the nearest proper towns for shops. Skipton has the castle and the canal. The Settle to Carlisle railway runs through, and sometimes they do steam specials.
Inside, it's got a wood burner, which is nice in the evenings. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. We provide bedding. There's a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. Parking is right there.
For planning, the Yorkshire Dales National Park site is good. If you're thinking of the railway, Settle Carlisle Railway has the timetable.
