Grisedale Stables Cottage is on our farm in Skirethorns, near Grassington. It was the old stables, but it's been converted. It's all on one level, which is handy.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom. That's three bathrooms in total. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable. Because it's a conversion, the ceilings are nice and high.
You're right on the farm, so you'll see sheep and cattle about. It's a proper working place, so there are tractors and farm noises sometimes. There's a stream at the bottom of the field you can walk to. The garden is yours, and it's enclosed.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a kitchen, a dining area, and a sitting area all in one big room. We've put in a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
Grassington is about two miles away. That's where the shops and most of the pubs are. Skipton is a bit further, maybe fifteen minutes in the car. They've got the castle and the canal there.
You're in the middle of walking country. You can step out the door and go. For a big day out, Malham Cove and Gordale Scar aren't far. The Yorkshire Dales National Park website has good maps. National Trust Yorkshire has their places nearby too, like Brimham Rocks.
We've got two other cottages on the farm if a bigger group wants to book together.
