Poppy Cottage is in Hebden, which is a quiet village in North Yorkshire. It's on a lane off the main street.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. The stairs are a bit steep. That's cottage stairs for you.
There's a pub about 400 yards down the lane. It does good food. A village tea room is next to the playground. They do homemade meals and cakes.
You can walk from the door. The river path to Grassington is easy. For bigger walks, you're right in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There's a lockable bike store if you're cycling. It's Tour de Yorkshire country round here.
Inside, there's a wood burner for colder nights. Outside, there's a small patio at the back. There's also another sitting area about 50 yards along the lane. It gets the sun and you can use a BBQ there.
Grassington is under two miles away. It's a proper Dales village with shops and pubs. They have a Dickensian festival in December and a music festival in summer.
You can drive to a lot from here. Bolton Abbey, Malham Cove, and Brimham Rocks are all within about half an hour. Skipton is about 20 minutes. It's a market town with a castle and a canal. Harrogate and Ilkley are a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Sorry, no pets.
For planning days out, the National Trust for York and North Yorkshire has good information.
