Old Milverton
Old Milverton is a flat in Grassington. It’s on the ground floor and sleeps two people. You get a parking space right outside the door, which is fairly unusual here.
It has a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable. There’s one bedroom and one bathroom. The space is all on one level. I’ve tried to keep some of the original features while making it practical to stay in.
It’s just off the village square, in a small courtyard. There’s a bench outside if you want to sit in the sun. Grassington itself has everything you need: pubs, a few shops, a supermarket, and a post office. There’s a bus service that runs through if you don’t want to drive.
The village has events sometimes, like a Music and Arts Festival in June and a 1940’s weekend in September. The Christmas market is nice if you’re here in December.
For walks, you can step straight out onto footpaths. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is all around. Skipton is about ten miles away for a bigger town, castle, and the canal.
If you want a swim or a treatment, Long Ashes is a mile and a half away. There are a few National Trust places within a half hour drive, like Brimham Rocks or Malham Tarn.
Inside, it has a washing machine, a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs. The electricity is included in the price.
