Stables End is on the edge of the Kilnsey Trekking Centre, off the main road in Conistone. It's a one-bedroom cottage that sleeps two.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been renovated, so it feels fresh and clean. Everything works. The layout is open plan downstairs. Good for cooking and sitting in the same space. There's a wood burner, but it's decorative. You can't actually use it. The stairs are fine.
Upstairs, the bedroom is a good size. You can have it as a double or two singles. There's an ensuite bathroom with a shower. Plenty of storage.
Outside, there's a small private courtyard with a table and chairs. Parking is on the trekking centre grounds, for two cars.
You're right at the Trekking Centre, so you can hear and see the horses. If you want to go riding, you can book that easily. You can bring two dogs. The village is quiet most of the time, but there is an annual show and other events at Kilnsey that can get busy.
Conistone itself is tiny. Kilnsey has the pub, about a ten minute walk. It's proper walking country right from the door. You can walk up to the Crag or along the river. For a bigger shop, Grassington is about four miles. It's a nice little market town with cafes and shops.
