Prospect Cottage
Prospect Cottage is in Kettlewell, Yorkshire Dales. It's a stone cottage from the 1600s. It's been done up recently but it keeps the old bits, like the stone windows and the beams. The stairs are the original stone ones. They twist round, like they do in these old places.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got the 5 Star rating, which means it's a high standard. Everything's clean and works properly. It's not huge but it's comfortable.
The garden is small but not overlooked. You look out over the fields and the stone walls. It's got a patio with some furniture. The river is a couple of minutes walk away, good for a picnic.
Kettlewell itself has three pubs. They all serve food. There's a village shop that's surprisingly good. Everything you need is within a few hundred yards.
For walking, you can just step out the door. You can go up the fells or have a gentler walk along the River Wharfe. Grassington is about ten minutes away by car. They have festivals there sometimes. Skipton is further, maybe half an hour, if you need a bigger market town.
What's here: parking for one car right outside, a woodburning stove, a washing machine and dishwasher, wifi, and bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
