Prospect Cottage is in Kettlewell, in the Yorkshire Dales. It's a 17th century cottage. We renovated it a few years ago, so it's got a high rating, but the main thing is we kept the old features, like the stone windows and the beams.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, and two bathrooms which is handy. The stairs are original and stone, so they're steep. You need to watch your step.
You can see the fields and hills from the windows. There's a small enclosed garden with a patio and a table.
Kettlewell has three pubs, all do food. There's a village shop about five minutes walk away for basics. The river is nice for a picnic. The walking from the door is excellent, straight up into the fells.
Grassington is about ten minutes by car. It's got shops and cafes, and it's where they film All Creatures Great and Small. Skipton is further, maybe half an hour, for a bigger market town.
For things to do, the Yorkshire Dales National Park site has walking routes. If you like historic houses, National Trust Yorkshire has a list.
It's got parking for one car. There's a wood burner, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
