The Well House is in Starbotton, in Wharfedale. It's a three bedroom cottage and it sleeps six. There are two bathrooms, both downstairs. It’s an upside down house, so the living room and kitchen are upstairs. That’s for the views. They’re good.
It’s got a 4 Star rating. That means it’s well finished and comfortable. The stairs are normal. There’s a wood burner upstairs. The kitchen is new. You can park on site.
The garden has two sitting areas. There’s a garage you can use for bikes. The back door goes into a boot room, which is useful for boots and dogs.
The original well is still in the house. It’s in the floor, covered with glass, and it’s lit up at night. You can see right down it. It’s about a hundred feet deep.
The Fox and Hounds pub is two minutes walk away. They do food. The village is small. It’s in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
You can walk from the door. The Dales Way path is close by. The river is about five minutes walk. Grassington is a fifteen minute drive. It’s a proper Dales town with shops and a market. Skipton is about half an hour away.
We accept up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's wifi.
For planning days out, the National Trust and Yorkshire Dales National Park sites are useful.
