This is Cam Cottage. It's in the middle of Kettlewell, a small village in the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage itself is very old, built around 1652. It's stone built and detached. It feels solid.
It sleeps six, across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is useful with that many people. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's not a show home, it's a cottage. The stairs are typical for a building this age, so they're a bit uneven and steep.
You've got a small, enclosed patio area at the front that gets the sun. Across the lane there's a flower bed that belongs to the cottage. The views down the valley from there are nice.
Everything in Kettlewell is walking distance. There's a village shop about 300 yards away. There are a few pubs and places to eat within a couple of minutes' walk. Some of them are very good.
For walks, you can just step out the door. Grassington is about seven miles down the road. It's a nice little town with shops and a market. Skipton is a bit further, maybe half an hour's drive. It's got a good market and the castle is worth a visit.
If you're driving out for the day, Malham Cove and Bolton Abbey are both within half an hour. You can get to places like Ilkley or Harrogate in about forty minutes if you want a change.
The cottage has parking. There's a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. WiFi works. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, up to two.
