Inglenook Cottage

Inglenook Cottage is in Kettlewell, in the Yorkshire Dales. It's a 17th century cottage, one of a row. Sleeps seven, which is three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main thing is the fireplace is huge, a proper inglenook with a multi-fuel stove. There are a lot of old beams.

The kitchen is country style, I had it put in a few years ago. It's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. Stairs are steep, as you'd expect. I've put a stairgate at the top for little ones. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and TV.

You're right in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. You can walk straight out the door onto the hills. The River Wharfe runs through the village. There are three pubs in Kettlewell, all within a few minutes' walk. One does good food. There's a village shop too.

Within about half an hour's drive you've got Skipton, with the castle and a golf course. Malham Cove and the limestone pavement are that way too. For caving or climbing, that's all around here. National Trust places like Brimham Rocks or Fountains Abbey are a bit further, but doable for a day out.

No pets, I'm afraid. There's parking for one car on the lane outside.
