Pennypot Cottage is in Kettlewell, in the Yorkshire Dales. It’s a stone-built terrace cottage, just off the main street.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s well-equipped and comfortable. One bedroom has a standard double bed. The other has a zip-link bed, so you can have it as either twin singles or a king-size double.
You walk straight into the living room. It’s got a woodburning stove, which is nice in the cooler months. The WiFi works fine. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There’s a small, private patio garden out the back with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
The bathroom is upstairs. It’s a P-shaped bath with a shower over it. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they’re a bit steeper and narrower than modern ones. We’ve put a stairgate at the top if you need it.
Kettlewell itself has a couple of good pubs that serve food, a village shop, and a small children’s playpark. You can walk straight out from the cottage onto the hills. For a longer drive, Fountains Abbey is about an hour away. The Yorkshire Dales National Park site has walking routes and information. Stump Cross Caverns is roughly half an hour’s drive.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There’s on-site parking for one car. We can accept one well-behaved dog. There’s a cot available if you need it.
