The Old School
The Old School is in Kettlewell, up in the Yorkshire Dales. It's an old schoolhouse, which means the rooms are big and the ceilings are high. It's had a recent renovation, so everything's fresh and works properly.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Two are upstairs, one double and one super king. There's a twin bedroom on the ground floor, which is handy. You get two bathrooms as well, one on each floor.
The main living space is open plan. The kitchen has what you need. The sun room runs along the front. It's a good spot to sit with a drink and look out at the garden and the fields beyond. The sitting room has a wood burner. The stairs are fine, typical for an old building.
You can bring two dogs. There's a dog gate for the garden and an outdoor shower to clean them off. We include bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and parking on site.
Kettlewell itself is small. You've got a village shop, two pubs that do food, and a couple of cafes. The river runs through for paddling. You can start a walk from the door in pretty much any direction.
For days out, you're right in the Dales. Malham Cove is about twenty minutes by car. Bolton Abbey is half an hour. Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks are within an hour. The Yorkshire Dales National Park website has good maps and ideas.
