The Old School is in Kettlewell, up at the top end of the village. The views from the front are really very good, straight out across the dale. It used to be a schoolhouse.
It's recently been done up inside, so everything's clean and works. It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom and a bathroom are downstairs, which is handy. The main bathroom upstairs has a shower. The stairs are fine.
Out the front there's a sun room that runs along the length of the house. It gets the morning light. The garden slopes away, so it's not really a playing field, but you can sit out there.
You get the usual things: towels and bedding are included, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for two cars on the drive. The wood burner works well. We can provide a highchair and a stairgate.
Kettlewell itself has what you need. There's a village shop, two pubs that do food, a couple of cafes, and decent walks right from the doorstep. The river's good for a paddle.
If you want to go further out, Malham Cove is about a 20 minute drive. Bolton Abbey and the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes are within half an hour. For a full day out, Fountains Abbey or Brimham Rocks are both under an hour away.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's an extra charge for that.
