Hilltop Barn
Hilltop Barn is in Starbotton. It's a stone barn conversion, semi-detached from the next one. The village is quiet and you're right in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well finished and comfortable. The stairs inside are the original ones, so they're a bit steep and turn a corner. Just mind your head.
There's a pub in the village, about a quarter of a mile away. They serve food. The nearest shop is in Kettlewell, which is a couple of miles down the road.
For walking, the Dales Way passes close by. A walk up Buckden Pike gives you the big views. For something gentler, the riverbank paths from Kettlewell are good.
Grassington is about a 10 minute drive. It's a proper Dales village with shops, cafes and a few pubs. They have festivals in summer and a Dickensian weekend in December. Skipton is further out, maybe 25 minutes by car. It's a market town with a castle, more shops, and the canal.
Outside, there's a lawned garden with a patio. You can sit out there. There's also a balcony off the living room upstairs, which looks over the fields.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for two cars on the drive. One well-behaved dog is welcome. We can provide a cot and a highchair.
