Hilltop Barn is in Starbotton. It's a small village in Upper Wharfedale, right inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The barn is semi-detached, made of stone.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, and each has its own bathroom, which is useful. It's a 5 Star place, so it's done to a good standard. It feels solid, with stone floors and oak beams. There's a balcony off the living room. You get a good view of the valley from there.
The garden is lawned, with a patio. There's a barbecue. You can park right there.
The village pub is a few minutes' walk. It's family-run and does food. The nearest shop is in Kettlewell, about two miles away.
For walking, the Dales Way path is close by. A walk up Buckden Pike gives you the big views. The riverbank walks from the door are easier. Grassington is about a 15 minute drive. It's a proper Dales village with shops, cafes, and a few pubs. They have festivals in summer and at Christmas.
Kettlewell is closer, just down the road. It has a couple of pubs and a small shop. Skipton, the market town, is about a 30 minute drive. They've got the castle, more shops, and you can get trips on the canal there.
Facilities: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog.
