The Shippon is a converted barn on our working farm in Drebley. It's in North Yorkshire, not far from Skipton. The front looks onto the farmyard, but the back is all fields and quiet. You can hear the river from the garden.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, and we keep it well looked after.
You come in through the kitchen. It's got what you need. The living room is up a small step from there, with a wood burner. We leave you some logs to get started. The stairs are a standard staircase, nothing too tricky.
Outside, there's a patio area with a table and a hot tub. The garden is enclosed. We also have a separate enclosed field you can use if you've brought a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet. It's a farm, so you must keep dogs on a lead around the livestock.
Bolton Abbey is very close, about a five-minute drive. It's good for walks by the river. The Strid is there too, but be careful as it's dangerous. For a longer walk, you can head up onto the moors.
Skipton is about twenty minutes away by car. It's a proper market town with shops and supermarkets. Harrogate and Ilkley are within half an hour if you want a bit more choice for a day out.
In terms of what's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi, a TV, parking for three cars, and a barbecue. The hot tub is checked and cleaned between each stay.
