The Shippon
The Shippon is on our farm in Drebley. It's a converted barn. You look out over the fields and you can hear the river. It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep and cattle about.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms upstairs, and two bathrooms, one upstairs and one down. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's warm and comfortable. The kitchen has what you need. The living room has a wood burner. We supply the logs.
The garden is enclosed. There's a hot tub out there. We also set aside a separate enclosed field for dogs, so they can run without bothering the livestock. You can bring one dog.
You're right in the middle of good walking country. Bolton Abbey Estate is basically on the doorstep. That's the River Wharfe, the Strid, all of it. Good for a full day out.
Within half an hour you can be in Skipton, Ilkley, or Grassington. Skipton's got the castle and the market. Ilkley Moor is up there if you want a proper walk. For a longer trip, the Yorkshire Dales National Park authority site has all the maps and routes.
Practical things: parking for three cars. Bedding and towels are included. There's wifi and a TV. The washing machine is in the downstairs bathroom. The stairs are normal, not a ladder or anything.
