Kestrel View

Kestrel View is a first-floor apartment above the clubhouse at Skipton Golf Course. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the golf course and across to the valley. It's all open plan inside. There's a big sofa by an electric stove that looks like a wood burner.

Because it's on the first floor, you do have to go up some stairs to get in. The apartment itself is all on one level after that. You have a private patio area.

You're right on the golf course, so if you're here to play, it's very handy. The clubhouse bar and restaurant are downstairs. You can get meals there most days, and guests get a discount. Opening times change with the season. The course is known for being long and quite challenging.

Skipton town is about a mile away. You can walk it through the woods, or it's a very short drive. It's a proper market town with a castle, shops, and a canal. There's a market with fresh food. The castle is worth a visit; it's very old and right in the middle of everything.

You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Good walking and cycling starts practically from the door. You can drive into the heart of the Dales in under 30 minutes.

Facilities: it's got WiFi, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair and a stairgate if you need them. No pets.
