6 Craven Terrace

6 Craven Terrace is in Skipton. It's one in a row of terraced cottages on a quiet street. It's about a five minute walk from the high street and the castle. You can hear the church bells from the back bedroom, which is nice.

It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 3 Star rating. That means it’s clean and has everything you need, but it’s not a hotel. It’s a cottage.

The kitchen is small, but it has a cooker, fridge, and a sink. The living room has a wood burning stove. We leave a basket of logs for you to get started. There’s a TV and the WiFi usually works fine.

You can park one car right outside the cottage. That’s a big plus around here.

There’s a shop about 100 yards away and a couple of pubs within a couple of minutes’ walk. The one on the corner does food.

Skipton’s good for wandering. The castle is very close. The market’s on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal runs through the town, so you can have a walk along the towpath without having to drive anywhere.

You’re right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales here. For a drive, Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are about half an hour away. The Yorkshire Dales National Park website has good walking routes. The Embsay Steam Railway is a short drive, and they do special events sometimes.

Facilities included: bedding and towels, the wood burner, parking, WiFi, TV, a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
