Mallard's Nest is a small end-terrace cottage in Skipton. It looks out onto the canal. You can see the castle walls from the upstairs window.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. It has low beams in places, so mind your head.
The front door opens straight into the main room. That's the kitchen, dining and sitting area all together. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on site.
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. The garden is a small, shared courtyard out the back.
You're about a minute's walk from the high street. The shops, pubs and restaurants start there. There's a local pub about 150 yards away.
You can walk along the canal right from the doorstep. That takes you past Skipton Castle and into Skipton Woods. The Embsay Steam Railway is a mile away. It runs up to Bolton Abbey.
You're on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. It's about a 15 minute drive to get into the national park properly. Harrogate is about 40 minutes by car. York is around an hour.
