Duck Cottage

Duck Cottage is in Gargrave, just off one of the village greens. It's right next to the stepping stones over the River Aire. You can see the river from the living room, the main bedroom, and the little garden area.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one is a king size and the other has twin beds. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, like in most old cottages.

It's got a living room with an open fire. We supply some wood to get you started. The kitchen is open plan with a dining table. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's WiFi and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's a stairgate fitted and space to put bikes.

There's a shop, a couple of pubs, and places to eat about three minutes' walk away. Gargrave is good for walking. You can follow the river path towards Skipton, which takes about an hour and a half on foot. Skipton has the castle and a market.

You're on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Malham Cove is about a fifteen minute drive. The Embsay Steam Railway is a couple of miles from Skipton and goes up to Bolton Abbey. Harrogate is about half an hour away, York is around an hour.
