It's Low Lodge. It’s on the edge of the Broughton Hall estate, just outside Skipton. A detached lodge, so it’s on its own. The views over the parkland are good, really open.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with big beds. One bathroom with a roll-top bath. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well done, not just basic.
Because it’s all on the ground floor, there’s no stairs to worry about. You've got a utility room for boots and coats, which is handy. The wood burner is easy to use.
You can walk straight out into the estate grounds. It’s 3000 acres. You’ll see the hall, the river, deer, that sort of thing. There’s a wellbeing centre called Avalon right next door if you want treatments, and they do Land Rover experience days from the estate office if that’s your thing.
Skipton is about three miles. It’s a proper market town with shops and eating places. There’s a pub that does food about half a mile walk away.
From here, you’re right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. You can drive into the national park in minutes. Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are about a 30 minute drive. The coast at places like Settle is also within half an hour. If you want a big day out, Harrogate or the Brontë Parsonage in Haworth are under an hour.
For facilities: there’s parking, the wood burner, a washing machine, a BBQ, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. It’s pet friendly, for up to two dogs.
