The Ginnel Mews

The Ginnel Mews is on a back street in Skipton. It's a townhouse. You're tucked away from the main roads, so it's quiet, but you can walk everywhere.

The house sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a comfortable, family-friendly sort of place. The bathroom is downstairs off the hallway.

The stairs are the main thing to know. They're a typical cottage staircase. Steep and a bit narrow. Fine for most people, but you need to be careful.

There's a small patio garden out the back. It gets the sun in the evening, which is nice. At the front, there's a little porch with a chair, good for putting boots on.

You're about three minutes' walk from the high street and the castle. Skipton market is on four days a week. The canal is right there too, you can walk along it or book a boat trip.

For facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot if you need one, and all the bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's one parking space on the drive.

The Yorkshire Dales start pretty much as you leave the town. You can drive into the National Park in about ten minutes. Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are about twenty minutes away by car.

Further out, you can get to Harrogate in under an hour. York is about an hour and a half. The southern Lake District, around Kendal, is also just over an hour's drive.
