Delph House

Delph House is in Draughton, a quiet village about three miles from Skipton. It's one half of an old stone farmhouse that's been converted.

It sleeps ten, across five bedrooms. Two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. The ceilings are low in parts. There are beams. Mind your head.

You get the garden to yourselves. There’s a kids’ play area. Parking is on site. It has all the things you’d expect: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.

The view from the back looks over the valley towards Bolton Abbey. You can walk to the ruins from the village, or just look at them from across the way. For a longer walk, you can pick up the Dales Way nearby, and the Pennine Way isn't far either.

Skipton is close. It’s a proper market town with a castle, shops, and pubs. You can get boat trips on the canal there. The Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway is about three miles away. Haworth, for the Brontë Parsonage, is a 30-minute drive.

If you’re planning days out, these sites are useful: Yorkshire Dales National Park, Bolton Abbey Estate, and National Trust Yorkshire.
