Horseshoe Cottage is on our farm in Rimington. It's an old stone barn we converted, attached to our house but you've got your own door.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is accurate. It's comfortable and clean.
You're on a working sheep farm. That means you'll see us and the dogs moving sheep sometimes. You'll hear sheep. There's a proper garden area for you with a bench, looking out over the fields.
The wet room shower is on the ground floor. The stairs up to the bedroom are quite steep, just so you know.
The village of Sawley is two miles away. It's got a good pub by the river. You can walk around the old Sawley Abbey ruins there. Gisburn is about two and a half miles for a shop. Gisburn Forest is about ten miles and is very popular for mountain biking.
Clitheroe is close, about seven miles. It's a proper market town with a castle, shops, and places to eat. Skipton is a bit further, about thirteen miles, and is similar. If you head into Yorkshire, Bolton Abbey is about a twenty minute drive for walking. The Forest of Bowland is all around us. You can get to the edge of the Yorkshire Dales or the coast in under an hour if you want a day out.
For facilities: there's parking right outside, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a bike store if you bring them. No pets, I'm afraid, because of the farm.
