Castle Retreat is in Skipton. It's a terrace house in a quiet street, not far from the town centre. It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is comfortable and clean. We've tried to keep it eco-friendly where we can, so things like the heating are efficient and there's a bike rack.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids. You can sit out there. It's a proper town garden, not huge, but it's yours.
Inside, there's everything you need: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. The stairs are a typical terrace-house sort, straight up from the living room.
Skipton itself is a couple of minutes' walk away. There's the market, the castle, shops and pubs. Good for just picking up what you need. The canal is nice for a flat walk.
If you want to get out, you're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It's about a 10-minute drive to proper Dales countryside. For a day out, you can get to Harrogate or the ruins at Bolton Abbey in under half an hour.
