Lanner Moon
Lanner Moon is a house in Lanner, about a fifteen minute drive from the North coast. It's Victorian, terraced, but it's been done up. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and in good order.
It sleeps six, over three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. One is a shower room downstairs with a loo. It’s useful if you've been at the beach or walking the dog.
The garden is out the back. You get to it from the kitchen or the utility room. There's parking on the drive.
Inside, the stairs are typical for a house this age. They're a bit steeper and narrower than modern ones. There are also a couple of steps outside the front door and in the garden, just so you know.
The kitchen is a good size and has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a separate dining room. The living room has a woodburning stove.
You're well placed for getting out. Portreath beach is about twenty minutes by car. The Bissoe Cycle Trail is close by if you have bikes. For walkers, the Great Flat Lode area and Carn Brea are right nearby, full of old mining history. You can find out more about walking routes from the National Trust Cornwall site.
Further afield, within half an hour you can get to Falmouth, St Ives, or the north end of the Lizard peninsula. Truro is about twenty minutes for bigger shops.
Facilities wise, it's all there. WiFi, TV, cot, highchair. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
