The Cottage
This is The Cottage in Viney Hill. It's in the Forest of Dean, right by the woods. You're on your own here, it's detached.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single. There's one bathroom with a bath and shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not huge. The second living room has a double sofa bed and its own fireplace if you need extra space or want to split up a bit.
You've got a garden and patio out the back. There's parking for your car. Everything you'd expect is here: WiFi, washing machine, bedding and towels are provided. The kitchen has what you need. There are two open fires, one in each living room. We leave you some logs to get started.
You're in the forest here. You can walk straight out from the cottage. For a proper day out, Forest of Dean and Forestry England have all the maps and information. Puzzlewood is about a 15 minute drive, it's unusual. Symonds Yat is maybe 20 minutes by car, good for views and watching the river.
Chepstow with its castle and racecourse is about a 20 minute drive. Monmouth is roughly the same. The Wye Valley is right there for walking. If you want to go further, Gloucester and the Severn Bridge are within half an hour.
There's local golf and you can go horse riding nearby. No pets, sorry.
