The Parlour is on our dairy farm in Arlingham. It used to be a milking parlour, hence the name. It's a barn conversion, so it's all on one level. That's good if you don't want stairs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. We've kept some of the original beams.
The farm is in a big bend of the River Severn. There's about two miles of riverbank on the land. You can walk there. It's quiet, just fields and the water. Good for a picnic.
The village pub is about a fifteen minute walk through the woods. They do food. There's another good one a bit further on, famous for seafood. You can drive there in a few minutes.
If you like walking, the Severn Way is right here. Frampton-on-Severn is nearby. They have the longest village green in England and a canal. Saul Junction has a cafe by the canal where you can watch the boats.
Things to do nearby: Slimbridge Wetland Centre is about fifteen minutes by car. Berkeley Castle is close. For a day out, you can get to the Forest of Dean, Cheltenham, or Gloucester within half an hour. Bristol and Bath are a bit further, maybe forty-five minutes.
The facilities are what you'd expect. There's a woodburning stove, which we'll leave you some logs for. WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside.
As it's a working farm, you'll see us and the cows going about. There might be some mud if it's been wet. Clay pigeon shooting can be arranged on the farm at weekends if you book it in advance.
