The Old Farmhouse
The Old Farmhouse is on a working sheep farm on the edge of the Forest of Dean. It's detached. You've got your own garden, which is enclosed. There are sheep in the fields around, so you'll need to keep dogs under control.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, not a show home. The kitchen is decent, you've got a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
There's a pub and restaurant about 200 yards away. The pub serves food. There's a shop about 300 yards away for basics.
You're right on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Good for walking and cycling straight from the door. Puzzlewood and Go Ape are nearby if you've got kids. For a day out, Symonds Yat is about a 15 minute drive for the views and peregrine falcons. The Wye Valley is there for canoeing.
Hereford and Gloucester are both about a 30 minute drive if you want a cathedral or bigger shops.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking on site.
