Bengough's Annexe is in Breadstone, Gloucestershire. It's part of a 17th-century farmhouse, the attached wing. We're down a country lane, quite rural. It's a livery yard now, so there are horses in the fields around.
The annexe sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. We had it all refreshed a few years ago, new kitchen and bathroom, proper central heating. It's a 3 Star place. Comfortable and clean, but it's an old building. The ceilings are low with beams, mind your head. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit narrow.
There's an open fireplace you can use. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs. We allow up to three pets. Facilities are what you'd hope for: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
The local pub is a couple of miles away. The nearest shop is about three miles, so you'll likely drive.
You're close to Berkeley Castle here. Slimbridge Wetland Centre is a short drive away, maybe ten minutes. It's good for a family day out. Cheltenham and Gloucester are within about half an hour if you want a town. The Cotswolds are on the doorstep, really. For walking, the Cotswolds National Landscape site has ideas. For local history, English Heritage lists places like the castle.
