Bengough's Annexe
Bengough's Annexe is part of a farmhouse on the edge of Breadstone. It’s the wing of the old place, so it’s attached. It’s a 17th century listed building, so the ceilings are low and beamed in parts. There’s an open fireplace. The stairs are the traditional cottage sort, which means they’re a bit steep.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There’s one bathroom. We fitted it out with a new kitchen and bathroom in early 2020, along with new central heating. It’s clean and comfortable, and it’s got a 3 Star rating. The garden is enclosed and it’s just for you. The farm is a livery yard now, so you’ll see horses out in the fields.
You’re down a country lane here. It’s quiet. The nearest pub is about two miles away in Berkeley. The shop is in Sharpness, about three miles. It’s a proper rural spot.
Berkeley Castle is very close. Slimbridge Wetland Centre is about a twenty minute drive. It’s good for a day out, especially if you like birds. Cheltenham is within half an hour for the races or shopping. Gloucester is about the same. You can get to the edge of the Cotswolds from here quite easily.
The place has an open fire, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. There’s a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There’s parking right outside. We take up to three dogs.
