Brook House
Brook House is on the Berkeley Estate. You can walk to the castle gate from the drive. It sleeps eighteen people. It's a big, old house, so it's good for a group.
There are nine bedrooms and seven bathrooms. That helps with the morning queue. The place is rated 5 Star. It's been done up well, so everything works and is comfortable, but it still feels like an old house. The stairs are a bit uneven in places, just so you know.
The kitchen is big and has a table for everyone to sit at together. There's another living room too, a snug, if some people want a quieter spot. The garden is large and there's a patio with a barbecue.
You're right next to Berkeley Castle. It's worth a visit. In the town there's also Dr Jenner's Museum, which is interesting if you like that sort of thing. For a day out with kids, Cattle Country farm park is just outside the town.
You're on the edge of the Cotswolds. The Cotswolds are about twenty minutes drive for proper walks. Stroud is close, maybe fifteen minutes. It's got a good market on Saturdays. Cirencester is a bit further, maybe half an hour. Gloucester and Bristol are both about thirty minutes in the car if you want a city day.
In terms of what's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's wifi and TVs. You can bring up to two dogs. The house can be booked alongside the one next door, Salt House, if you need even more space.
