This is Perivale Lodge, just outside Lydney in the Forest of Dean. It's a detached house, so no shared walls. You get the whole place and garden to yourselves.
It sleeps six, over three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done up well. It's modern and clean inside.
The best thing is probably the space outside. There's a big enclosed field, about two acres, attached to the garden. You can let dogs run in there. It's not all flat though. There are some open ponds and slopes, so you do need to watch kids and pets.
There's a bit of a utility space by the back door. It's meant for bringing muddy dogs or boots in. There's even a warm water hose outside to rinse them off first.
You've got a fire pit in the garden. It's good for sitting around in the evening. There's a BBQ too.
For facilities, it's got the normal things. WiFi, parking, TV, washing machine. We include bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The location is very rural. You're straight into forest walks from the gate. The Dean Forest Railway is close by, you can get a day ticket to ride the steam trains. There's a local pub within driving distance.
You're about twenty minutes from the Wye Valley. Chepstow and its castle are maybe half an hour away. Symonds Yat is about a twenty-five minute drive for the river views. For a wider area, you've got the Severn Estuary and the Cotswolds are doable for a day out.
