The Stables

The Stables is in Bream, in the Forest of Dean. It's a barn conversion, semi-detached from the one next door. You're right on the edge of the forest here.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The layout is open plan.

The local shop and pub are about a ten minute walk away. The pub serves food.

You're in the forest, so walking and cycling start from the door. You can hire bikes locally. The Forest of Dean website has maps. For something different, Puzzlewood is about a 15 minute drive. The Dean Heritage Centre is close too.

If you want to go further, Chepstow with its castle is about 20 minutes by car. Monmouth is similar. Ross-on-Wye and Gloucester are within half an hour.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. We've got a cot and highchair if needed. There's also a BBQ.

A hot tub is available. It's not private by default. You have to book private sessions for it when you arrive, for a fee.

Useful links: Wye Valley AONB and Forest of Dean Council for official walking and cycling information.
