The Stables is a one bedroom barn conversion for two people. It's semi detached, part of a small group of similar properties. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well presented.
The barn is in Bream, on the edge of the Forest of Dean. The location is quite rural, but there's a shop and a pub about half a mile away. You can walk into the forest from the property. There are some horses kept on site nearby.
The layout is open plan downstairs. Bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. The stairs are a typical cottage type, so they're a bit steeper than you'd get in a modern house.
You can book private sessions for the hot tub when you arrive. There's a washing machine, wifi, and parking right outside. We provide bedding and towels. Pets are welcome, up to two.
For things to do, you're right in the middle of it. You can walk or bike straight into the Forest of Dean. The Forestry England website has good trail maps. Puzzlewood and the Dean Heritage Centre are popular. Clearwell Caves and the Sculpture Trail are within a few minutes' drive.
For a day out, Gloucester is about 40 minutes by car. Monmouth and Chepstow are about half an hour. The Wye Valley is great for walking and has several castles nearby.
