Humbug House

Humbug House is in Upper Soudley, in the Forest of Dean. It's a semi-detached house, one of a few on a quiet lane. It was all done up in 2023, so it's fresh and clean. It sleeps five.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one is en-suite to the main bedroom. The towels and bedding are all included. They're good quality.

The main room downstairs is open plan. Kitchen, dining table, and sofa area. There's underfloor heating in there, which is nice in the winter. The stove works too, if you fancy a fire.

You can walk straight into the woods from the front door. The garden at the back is enclosed. You can bring one dog.

For things to do, the forest is the main thing. There are miles of paths for walking and over 30 cycle trails. Puzzlewood is about a ten minute drive, and it's interesting for a wander. Clearwell Caves are close too. Symonds Yat is roughly twenty minutes away by car.

If you want to go a bit further, you can be in Monmouth or Chepstow in under half an hour. Gloucester and Hereford are about forty minutes. Tintern Abbey is worth seeing, it's run by Cadw.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair if you need them, and parking on the drive. The wifi works. There's a local pub a few minutes walk away.
