The Hayloft
The Hayloft is on our smallholding, just outside Cinderford in the Forest of Dean. It's a single building, converted from what it says on the tin. It's for two people.
The space is all on one level. You've got a combined sitting area with a kitchenette, a bed, and a shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. The views from the sitting area are over our fields and the woods.
We've got sheep in the fields and free-range chickens wandering about. I make cider here too, using an old stone press. You'll hear owls at night and see deer sometimes.
The location is quiet. You're on the edge of the woods with footpaths starting right from the gate. For a shop or a pub, it's about two miles to the nearest village.
For days out, you're in the middle of the Forest of Dean. Good for walking, cycling, and all that. Forest of Dean has maps and information. Ross-on-Wye is about fifteen minutes by car. Gloucester with the cathedral is maybe twenty-five minutes. Cheltenham is a bit further, maybe forty-five minutes.
In terms of what's here: there's a TV, a washing machine, a shower. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. No pets, sorry.
