This is the cottage in Cinderford. Vale View Cottage. It's mine. It's on a quiet lane down the hill from town.
It's semi-detached, sleeps four. Two bedrooms and a bathroom. Got a 4 Star rating, so it's decent and everything works. It's comfortable.
The main thing is the view. The living room window looks straight out across the valley. You just sit and look at it. The garden is yours to use, just a small patio.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for the colder months, a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, wifi. All the bedding and towels are here. Parking is right outside.
The pub is about 50 yards up the lane. It's handy. For a shop or a restaurant you'd drive into Cinderford proper, that's half a mile.
You can walk straight out from the door into the Forest of Dean. The Sculpture Trail is good for that, it's about a 15 minute drive to the start. If you want something more active, Go Ape is nearby.
Within half an hour you can get to Symonds Yat for the rapids, Puzzlewood, or the Dean Forest Railway. Wye Valley and the river are close by. You can also pop over into Wales, Monmouth is about 25 minutes.
No pets, I'm afraid.
