Vale View Cottage is in Cinderford, Gloucestershire. It's a semi-detached cottage on a quiet lane. It's called Vale View because from the main living room window you look out across fields and trees. It’s a nice view.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and a bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are narrow and steep. They’re just part of it.
There’s a pub about 50 yards away. They serve food. There’s a shop and a restaurant about half a mile from the cottage.
You’re on the edge of the Forest of Dean. You can walk straight out from the door into the woods. The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail is nearby. For a more active day out, Go Ape at Mallards Pike is about a ten-minute drive.
Within half an hour you can get to Symonds Yat, which is a famous spot on the River Wye, and the town of Monmouth. The Wye Valley National Landscape is right there. Puzzlewood, which people know from films, is close, and so is Clearwell Caves.
For a longer day out, you can get to Cheltenham, Gloucester, or into Wales around Ross-on-Wye or Tintern Abbey in under 45 minutes.
Facilities: it has a woodburning stove, wifi, a TV, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking and a small garden. No pets, sorry.
