The Annexe At The 1910 House

The Annexe is at our house in Parkend. It's a separate building at the end of our garden. You get your own door, patio, and parking space.

It's for two people. One bedroom with a double bed, and one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, all open plan. The kitchen's fine for making meals. There's a sofa and TV.

Outside, there's a private patio with a table and chairs, and a chiminea. We've got undercover storage for bikes if you bring them.

Parkend is a village in the Forest of Dean. There's a pub about a five minute walk away. The forest is right there. You can walk or cycle straight from the door. The Forest of Dean website has maps and information.

Within about half an hour you've got Symonds Yat, Puzzlewood, and Clearwell Caves. Tintern Abbey is over the border in Wales, about a 20 minute drive. Cadw manages it. The Dean Forest Railway starts in Parkend. Chepstow, Monmouth, and Ross-on-Wye are all easy to get to.

For the facilities: WiFi is included, bedding and towels are too. There's a washing machine in the kitchen. One parking space. It's wheelchair accessible to get in, but the shower is a cubicle. No pets, sorry.

If you're planning trips, Forest of Dean & Wye Valley Tourism and National Trust Gloucestershire are good places to look.
