Rivendell

Rivendell is a bungalow in Blakeney, just outside the Forest of Dean. It's detached, so no one attached to you. The main thing is the view over the Severn Estuary. It's really good.

It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.

The garden is enclosed. There's a lawn and a summerhouse. The garden slopes down to a lower lawn and a small orchard. You get down there by some steps or a grassy slope. There's a handrail.

Blakeney village is about a ten minute walk. It's got a shop, a post office, a pub, and a fish and chip shop. You can walk straight from the garden into the forest.

The Forest of Dean is right there. For cycling, Pedalabikeaway is about ten minutes by car. The Beechenhurst Sculpture Trail is good for an easy walk. Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves are nearby too.

For a day out, you've got Tintern Abbey, and castles at Chepstow and Goodrich. The Wye Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Gloucester, Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth and Chepstow are all within about half an hour.

Facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and a woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can bring up to two dogs. It's wheelchair accessible to get in, but the garden slopes.

If you want to check tides for the Severn Bore, the Severn Bore website has the times.
