This is the Shepard's Hut, in Frampton on Severn. It's a small, self-contained cabin for two people in the garden of our house. You get the garden to yourselves while you're here.
It's got its own bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen area with a fridge, an electric hob, and a small oven. The bed folds down from the wall. It's a proper double bed. Everything is on one level.
There's a table and chairs outside, and a barbecue you can use. The garden faces west, so you get the evening sun. We're on the edge of the village, so you look out over fields.
Frampton has a village shop and two pubs, both about a ten-minute walk away. The Bell does good food. The canal runs through the village if you fancy a flat walk.
Gloucester is about six miles. The cathedral is worth a visit, and the docks are interesting. National Trust Gloucestershire has a few properties nearby, like Newark Park. The Cotswold Way runs close by if you like walking.
In terms of facilities, it's all included. Bedding, towels, WiFi, parking. It's rated 4 Star. You can bring one dog. The entrance and the inside are wheelchair accessible, but there's a small gravel path to get to the hut from the parking spot.
