Grooms Cottage is in Chaxhill. It's detached, sitting off a lane on its own. The garden is decent sized, fenced all round, so it's private. There's a patio with a table and a barbecue. You can park right there.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, so that's handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's all been done to a high standard. It feels new inside. Everything works.
The location is good. You're on the A48 between Chepstow and Gloucester. You can get to the Forest of Dean quickly. For walking, you've got the Offa's Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk nearby. The Sculpture Trail in the forest is worth doing. For cycling, the forest tracks are great, from gentle to proper mountain bike stuff.
Chepstow is about ten minutes away. You've got the racecourse there and the castle. Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye are within half an hour. Gloucester is 20 minutes for the cathedral and shops. Cheltenham is about 40 minutes if you want the festivals.
If you've got kids, Puzzlewood is nearby, which is that ancient forest place they use in films. Forest of Dean has Go Ape and the Dean Heritage Centre too. Clearwell Caves are interesting.
Facilities: it's all there really. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger. No pets, sorry.
