Lilac Lodge
Lilac Lodge is on Pope's Hill in the Forest of Dean. It’s a detached bungalow, so you’ve got it to yourselves. It’s quiet and you can see fields from the front.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which just means everything’s in good working order. It’s a bungalow, so there’s a single step into the property but no stairs inside, which is handy for some.
The living space is all open plan. The kitchen’s at one end, then the dining table, then the sofa area. It works fine for a small group. The main bedroom upstairs has a super king bed and a smart TV. The second bedroom downstairs has twin beds. There’s one family bathroom.
Outside, there’s a private gravelled area with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the morning. There’s also a fully enclosed paddock alongside the property, which is there if you’ve brought dogs. You can let them run about in there.
You can walk straight out from the lodge. The forest paths are right there. For a drive, you’re about 20 minutes from Monmouth or Coleford. Goodrich Castle is about 15 minutes away. A bit further, you’ve got Chepstow Castle and Tintern Abbey all within half an hour.
The main things are included: WiFi, parking on the drive, all bedding and towels. It’s pet friendly, for up to two dogs. The garden and paddock are both fully fenced.
