The Coach House

The Coach House is in Drybrook. It's a detached building that used to be a coach house. We live on the property nearby. It's quiet here, set back from the road. The garden is enclosed and it's all for you.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. Everything is on the ground floor. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's not huge, but it's fine for a couple.

There's a woodburning stove in the living area. It heats the place up quickly. We leave you some logs to get started.

You've got the usual things: a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.

We allow up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, but it's not fortress-like, so you’ll need to keep an eye on them.

The nearest pub, shop, and restaurant are about a mile away in the village. They're walkable if you don't mind a bit of an uphill stretch on the way back.

You're right on the edge of the Forest of Dean. You can walk straight out into it. For mountain biking, the trails at Cannop are about a ten minute drive. Puzzlewood is maybe fifteen minutes away, it's an odd place with twisted trees and paths. Forest of Dean District Council has maps and information.

Goodrich Castle is about twenty minutes by car. Monmouth, over the border in Wales, is about half an hour. There's a good market there on Saturdays. The Dean Forest Railway is at Norchard, a short drive away.

If you want to go a bit further, Gloucester is about forty minutes. Hereford is about the same.
