Foxcote New Court Farm

Foxcote New Court Farm is part of our working farm near Goodrich Cross. We raise pedigree sheep here, so you'll see them in the fields. The place is two separate cottages joined together, which is why it sleeps so many. They were converted from old farm buildings. It's detached, so no neighbours except us on the farm.

There are six bedrooms and three bathrooms in total. One of the bedrooms and a shower room is on the ground floor and has wheelchair access. The stairs in the older part are what you'd expect in a 16th century cottage: they're a bit steep and uneven.

You get the garden to yourselves, and it's fully enclosed. There's plenty of parking right outside. Inside, it's not fancy, but it's comfortable and clean. It's got a big farmhouse-style kitchen, which is good for groups. All bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. We can provide a cot, highchair and stairgate.

You can bring up to two dogs. We can also stable two horses if you need it.

The views from the main rooms look out towards Symonds Yat and the Forest of Dean. It's very quiet here.

There's a pub with a restaurant about half a mile away, you can walk it. The nearest shop is about a mile and a half.

You're right on the edge of the Wye Valley. The River Wye is about ten minutes by car for canoeing or fishing. Goodrich Castle is very close. For a day out, the Forest of Dean has all the walking and cycling trails, plus the Go Ape treetop course.

Ross-on-Wye is five miles away for shops and cafes. Hereford and Gloucester are about half an hour's drive if you want a cathedral or bigger shops. You can get to the Malvern Hills, the Brecon Beacons or the Cotswolds in under an hour for walking.

Useful links if you're planning: Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, English Heritage - Goodrich Castle, and Forest of Dean District Council for local information.
