River Wye View Cottage
River Wye View Cottage is in Symonds Yat West, right by the river. It's a small, semi-detached stone cottage.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not new. The view from the front window is the main thing. You look straight out over the River Wye.
It's got a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. There's a dishwasher, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
Symonds Yat Rock is the big attraction, just up the hill. The view from there is worth the walk. You can see the river looping around below. Good for watching peregrine falcons.
If you want to get on the water, you can hire canoes locally. There's a pub within walking distance that does food.
For a day out, Ross-on-Wye is about six miles away for shops. The Forest of Dean is on the other side of the river, maybe a fifteen minute drive. Good for walking and cycling trails. Monmouth is about seven miles, in the other direction.
