The Briars
The Briars is in Carterspiece, near the Forest of Dean. It's a quiet hamlet, basically a few houses. You've got neighbours but it's peaceful. The garden is private, with a patio and some lawn.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. The bathroom is upstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable but not high-end. Everything works. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase.
There's a woodburner in the front room. We leave some logs to get you started. All the bedding and towels are included.
You can bring one dog. We provide a stairgate and a highchair if you need them. There's a washing machine.
The local shop is about fifty yards away, it's good for basics. The pub is two hundred yards. They do food.
You're right on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Good walking from the door. For cycling, the family trail at the Forest of Dean is about a fifteen minute drive. Canoeing on the Wye is popular.
Ross-on-Wye is about a twenty minute drive. Monmouth is maybe twenty-five minutes. For a longer day out, you can get to Gloucester or Hereford in under half an hour.
