Westways

Westways is in Coughton, just outside Ross-on-Wye. It's a detached bungalow on one floor, which is handy. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well-equipped and kept to a high standard.

The place is quite secluded. You look out over fields and have a good-sized garden to yourselves. There's also an orchard with apple, pear, and plum trees. You're welcome to help yourselves when they're in season.

A real plus is you can use our indoor heated pool. It's in a separate building just across the drive. It has a swimming jet if you want to swim against a current.

For walks, you can join the Wye Valley Trail directly from the property. There's a local pub about a 15-minute walk away. They do good food and have a large beer garden. Wythall Estate Vineyard is also walkable if you're interested in tours and tastings.

Ross-on-Wye is about a mile and a half away. It's a nice market town with independent shops, cafes, and a few takeaways. There's a market on Thursdays. They've got riverside walks there too.

Within half an hour you can be in the Forest of Dean for cycling or walking, or down on the River Wye for canoeing. Monmouth and Symonds Yat are both close by. The Malvern Hills and Hay-on-Wye are a bit further, but still doable for a day out.

In terms of facilities: there's parking right outside, a wood burner, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Sorry, no pets.
