Westways

Westways is a bungalow near Ross-on-Wye. It's detached, from the 1950s, but it was all renovated a few years ago. It's quiet here, with views over the fields.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything is on one level.

The garden is a good size. There's also an orchard with apple, pear, and plum trees. You're welcome to use it.

A big feature is you get to use our indoor heated swimming pool. We'll sort out times when you arrive. It has a swim jet if you want to do lengths.

You can walk straight onto the Wye Valley Walk from the back. There's a decent pub, The Mill Race, about a ten minute walk away. They do food and have a beer garden. Wythall Estate Vineyard is also walkable for tours and tastings.

Ross-on-Wye is about a mile and a half away. It's a proper market town with independent shops and plenty of places to eat. There's a market on Thursdays. The riverside walks are nice, with play areas and cafes.

For a day out, you can drive to Symonds Yat Rock for the famous view, or down to the river at Symonds Yat East for canoeing and boat trips. The Forest of Dean is close by for cycling, walking, and the Sculpture Trail. Beechenhurst there is good for families.

Within about an hour you can get to the Malvern Hills, into Wales, or to cities like Bristol or Cardiff.

Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, and TV with internet. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's a woodburning stove. Sorry, no pets.
