Coulags Croft is near Achnashellach. It's a standalone house, on its own. The views are of big hills out of most of the windows, especially Fuar Tholl. You'll see lots of red deer around the place. We've seen eagles a few times too.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, one on each floor, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and everything works. It's not huge, but it's got what you need.
If you're here to walk or climb, it's pretty good. You're at the bottom of a few Munros – Maol Chean dearg and Beinn Laith Mhor start from the back. There's a footpath to Torridon from right outside. For something gentler, you can walk by the river. The sea shore at the loch is about a ten minute drive.
The North Coast 500 road runs past the end of the track, about a hundred yards away. Achnashellach train station is just down the road too. The closest place for food is a pub three miles away. A proper shop or supermarket is a bit of a drive, in either Kinlochewe or Kyle of Lochalsh.
You can get to the west coast or over to the Isle of Skye within an hour or so, depending on traffic.
For facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi, and parking right there. The garden is enclosed. Towels and bedding are included. No pets, sorry.
