Yartleton Farm is an outbuilding we converted, on our farm near Longhope. It's detached and looks out over the fields. The view from the patio doors is the main thing. It's just fields and sky. It changes with the weather.
It sleeps four. There's a double bedroom on the ground floor and then two single beds up on a mezzanine floor. You get up there by a paddle staircase, which is quite steep. It's not suitable for toddlers because of that and the open gallery. There's one bathroom with a shower cubicle.
It's open plan downstairs. Kitchen with a breakfast bar, a sofa area, and those patio doors out to a decked area. The garden is enclosed, mostly lawn with a wildflower bit. There's underfloor heating on the ground floor, which is good in winter. We include all bedding and towels. There's parking right outside.
You're on the edge of the Forest of Dean. You can walk from the door onto the public footpaths. For cycling, the Forest of Dean has all the trails. Puzzlewood and the Dean Forest Railway are about a 15-minute drive. Go Ape is at Mallards Pike, which is also close.
Ross-on-Wye is about 10 minutes by car. Monmouth and Ledbury are maybe 20 minutes. Gloucester and Cheltenham are within half an hour if you want a city day. The Malverns are about 40 minutes.
Facilities wise: it's got WiFi, a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and a BBQ. There's bicycle storage if you bring bikes. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
