Orchard Bank Cottage
Orchard Bank Cottage is on our organic farm, near Little London. It's a detached, single-storey place, so there are no stairs at all. It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfy but not luxurious.
You're right next to our house, but you've got your own bit out the front. There's a small, enclosed patio with a table and chairs. Beyond that, it's just our fields going up the hill. We've got sheep and cattle grazing. It's quiet.
The cottage looks out over the land. There are footpaths you can pick up right from the gate. The A4136 is handy for getting about, but you can't hear it from the cottage.
You're about halfway between Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. For a day out, the Forest of Dean is right there for walking or cycling. You can hire bikes. Forest of Dean has all the information. Gloucester Docks and the Waterways Museum are about a 20-minute drive. Cheltenham is maybe 25 minutes, if you want shops or the races.
There's a shop and a pub in the village, about a mile away. The pub does food.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. We include all bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and satellite TV. Parking is right outside.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, but it's not huge, so it's fine for letting them out, but not really a run-around space.
